These 2 Boys

So I know these 2 boys,

They both have October Birthdays.
After nearly 8 years of their girlfriends turned wives planning their birthdays they decided they were tired of birthdays being spent at Halloween Horror Nights, Outlet Malls, and the latest suggestion Harry Potter World (we really wanted some Butter Beer)!
So these two boys decided they wanted nothing more than to celebrate their birthdays early by going to a Rays Division League Series game...Game 5 to be exact.

They were super excited to be there, deciding that we should get there 3 hours ahead of time for Batting Practice and so they could explore the field.

They also bought giant sized cowbells in order to annoy any and all within a 20 foot radius of us.

Freiji and I were along for the ride...even though we do love the Rays.

Sadly the Rays lost but we still had a good time, even though it took nearly 3 hours to get home.
Go Rays!

Leadership & Tony Dungy & Food & Friends

So I feel like there is a lot to catch up on as the last month has been incredibly busy but not the fun kind of busy that anyone wants to hear.  Let's put it this way...14 days straight of work = 2000 miles on my car.  LOADS of fun!

So let's move on to the fun stuff seeing that my major project was put in the mail yesterday.

Last night we were lucky enough with 1000 other people to attend the Tony Dungy Leadership dinner.  He was a very good speaker and his speech was very inspirational.  We had fun with our Circle G friends

and MK got his picture made with Tony.

We ran into a lot of people that we've known for awhile and it was good to see them for a minute.  All in all it was at a good time.

Now it's Friday and I'm busy dealing with the sniffles.  Oh well.

Thankful

We have a lot to be thankful for lately. We feel very blessed all around for our health, for our jobs, for our home, for each other but most of all for our family. I'm sure some have heard but due to the events that have involved our family the past few months I feel more and more thankful for each and every member of our families. We've had health scares, freak accidents, and now add to the list armed robbery. You know it's crazy and difficult times when someone decides it's time to rob a preacher and his secretary in broad daylight. Everyone is safe and on the mend without any super serious injuries. I don't know if I've ever thanked the Lord so much for my Dad as I have the past two days. He truly is a treasure and God truly is good.
For goodness sakes what would we do without G-Daddy?
So with those thoughts let's keep in mind God's grace and love and safety and friends and blessings of family and the beauty we see in everyday life. Like this beautiful dragonfly on MK's handsome hand.

Dogs, Beach, Friends, and Doggy Friends

Today we went the dog beach with a bunch of friends for "Teach Scout to Swim." Scout is our newest doggy friend. Adam and Stephanie Thompson got Scout not too long ago and he is a SWEETIE!

We also went with Luke and Allison and of course Sawyer and Kona who are beach pros. We loved watching Kona and Sawyer just dive into the water after toys! They are such good little swimmers! Ok not little....

Our pups.....
Well they have recently been introduced to pools and swimming so the gulf was another crazy adventure for this week. They did pretty well. Joey did walk all they way in by himself and swim out to me by the end but poor little Lola looked like she was having a panic attack every time she was in the water. We loved the beach with the dogs and can't wait to go again! I think we've found our new favorite thing to do on the weekends! The dogs are tired, we gave them baths there so they are clean, and we are worn out too. It's been a GREAT Saturday!

PSA: For those of you who know Winston just wanted to let y'all know we found out he had cancer this week and Mom decided to put him down. Yesterday was a tough day for our family but we're doing better today. We loved Winnie and he was the one who started all this puppy love in our family.
